Whether or not you are ready to leave, counselling can help you to understand yourself and your situation.

This is a free service providing individual or group counseling for women who have: 

• Experienced violence in relationships
• Experienced sexual assault
• Experienced childhood abuse or violence

and who

• Reside in the Comox Valley or surrounding area.
• Are 19 years of age or older or
• Are under 19 years of age and are leading an adult lifestyle.

The service is available to all women including aboriginal women, women of colour, women with disabilities, lesbians, bisexual women, transgendered women, immigrant women, sex trade workers and older women.

Counselling is short-term or about 6-8 sessions which may be extended in some circumstances. The sessions are about one hour long with the exception of the intake session which is about one and a half hours.

Groups are offered throughout the year.

Reclaiming Our Lives: an open, ongoing group offered on Wednesday mornings, 9:00-10:30. Open to all women.

Women may self refer or may be referred by other agencies.
